Assistant Editor, Kitchenware Testing Team

Dominik Hunt

I’ve spent years testing kitchen equipment at The Kitchenware Journal, working alongside Chief Editor Nathan Miller to cover everything from food processors to outdoor grills. I got my start as a kitchenware retail specialist, fielding real customer questions about what actually works versus what just sounds good on a box.

What I Test For

My evaluations run on five consistent measures: long-term durability, heat distribution, real-world functionality, overall user experience, and whether the price matches what you actually get. I run each product through the tasks a home cook would really throw at it, whether that’s grinding meat in a food processor or holding steady heat on a stir-fry pan, and I report what happened rather than what the spec sheet promises.

Where my own testing time is limited, I draw on manufacturer data and verified owner reviews to fill the gap, and I flag clearly where that outside information comes from.

Editorial Standards

My reviews are independent of The Kitchenware Journal’s Amazon affiliate relationships. Commission from qualifying purchases doesn’t factor into which products I recommend or how I score them in testing.
